Add a PGP pickup or delivery
PGP certificates can be used only with special PGP trading pickups and deliveries for FTP and SFTP. These are exchanges for sending messages to partners, which are set up in partner objects, or consuming messages from partners, which are set up in communities. The use of PGP for picking up from, or routing messages to a back-end system is not supported.
The following is a summary of steps for adding a PGP delivery:
- Click Application delivery on the navigation graphic at the top of the summary page for a community or partner.
- Click the task Add a delivery to launch the delivery exchange wizard.
- Select PGP and click Next. You must select PGP. Do not select AS3 or any other message protocol that supports FTP and SFTP.
- Select FTP or SFTP, click Next and follow the prompts.
From here the steps are identical to adding any FTP or SFTP delivery. The following topics describe setting up and maintaining FTP and SFTP exchanges.

‘From’ and ‘To’ address settings
For community trading pickups, follow the usual guidelines for “from” and “to” addresses. Use these so Activator can identify senders properly.
- If EDI messages are traded, select Always parse for the address and select the check box for If the document is EDI, parse for the address.
- If XML messages are traded, select Always parse for the address and select the check box for If the document is XML, use XPaths to locate the address. Select a document type and its corresponding XPath. If your type is not listed, click XPath to use a wizard for setting the XPath using your sample of an XML document.
- If binary messages are traded, select Specify the address and select the fixed address. Or, for file system integration pickup, select Address determined by message attribute configuration and use the Message attributes tab to specify the attributes.
