Back up selected objects

Activator users with appropriate rights can export and import selected objects from the UI. This is useful if you want to create backups of individual objects or backups of collections of the same type of object. It is also a useful tool for moving selected objects between Activator environments of the same version.

The following objects can be exported and imported either individually or a as a collection of similar objects:

Required permissions

The user must have a role that includes the permission to manage the object type that he or she wants to back up.

General procedure

To export an object or a collection of objects of the same type to a backup file:

You can use the export file to move the selected objects from one environment to another, provided that they are running the same version of Activator .
